Varsoli beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Alibaug, a popular weekend destination in Maharashtra, West India. It is a less explored beach and therefore remains less crowded during all seasons. In this Travelogue: Mumbai to Varsoli Beach, I have captured the ferry ride (till Mandwa) and my experiences at Varsoli through videos and I am sure you will love watching them.
Varsoli Beach is a stunning surprise for a traveler’s eyes with its picturesque coastline that flaunts a host of casuarina, suru, and palm trees. You can spot a number of well-equipped resorts around the beach, offering a comfortable stay for a memorable beach vacation. In addition, you can even find a plethora of decent restaurants, liquor shops, and cafés close to the beach to relish some local good and gulp a beer or two. Apart from this, you can take a walk in the streets of Varsoli town and enjoy the energy of tropical vibes. All in all, Varsoli Beach is a highly recommended getaway if you are tight on budget and schedule.
Once you reach Mandwa, buses and auto-rickshaws take you to Varsoli and other nearby beach destinations. It will take approximately 15-20 minutes to reach Varsoli town. The town has the longest beach stretch (3 km) and offers various water sports activities like Jet Skiing, Banana Ride, and Biking.
You can watch my ferry ride experience on my writography blog. The ride starts from Gateway of India, Mumbai and ends at Mandwa jetty. It was an exciting trip as this was the first time I explored a new place outside Mumbai.
